Recovery-focused yoga class, Happy Hour Yoga starts Friday

Happy Hour Recovery Yoga starts this Friday! It’s a yoga class with a half-hour circle sharing time for those in recovery from substances, trauma, habitual patterns… all recovery.

Yoga is a system of living and growing that is about connecting and integrating what is fractured and disconnected. This system has been used, as Krishnamacharya says, “to heal us” for thousands generations.

Belinda Thurston, owner of Just B Yoga, is trained in Yoga of 12-Step Recovery (Y12SR) by Nikki Myers, and trauma yoga with Lisa Danylchuk and Hala Khouri. Using these as a foundation, we will move and breathe with connection in mind and open ourselves to feeling, seeing and expression in new ways. Recovery is a journey of acceptance and allowing our paths to be revealed. We do it together, not alone. We do it with honesty, forgiveness and humility and respect that each journey is individual.

Happy Hour is a time for restoring and claiming our beings to new capacity and possibility. It is a time for joy!

All levels and abilities welcome.

Fridays 5:30 p.m.-7 p.m. (donation-based always)
