Sunday we celebrated the solstice with a special yoga class and sweat lodge at Green Eagle Farm, an organic and sustainable farm in Onondaga.
There is something deeply spiritual about practicing outdoors. We were honored to be allowed o do it in such a natural, nearly wild environment.
We got to see the sky, uninhibited by structures or power lines and wires. We got to hear owls and songbirds in between our own breaths.
Our practice was graced with the delicate, lilting notes from Bill Kitley’s sitar and Jeremy Arndt’s hand pans.
To all who attended, thank you for celebrating the season and the earth with us. Thank you to the earth’s stewards, Chela and Steve Ashley. Thank you to Greg Kemppainen for conducting the sweat lodge with such care and wisdom.
May this season bring you all peace and positive progress on your journey.
