Welcome to the new home of the Just B blog and all things Just B Yoga.
Some of you are return readers and I appreciate you SO much. Others are just finding the site.
Maybe you’re looking for yoga in Lansing? Or you’re seeking a presenter for a program at a school or organization? Maybe you want to connect with likeminded activists in the community in hopes of helping Lansing heal and grow
I hope you can find some of that and more.
As I teach yoga and share various mindful arts (tai chi, buddhism, i-ching, tao) I will strive to do it all as community service with a goal of shedding light on causes that need our attention, connecting people and organizations to create a greater whole and to benefit those who need it most.
This year alone the power of community and yoga has been great:
Yoga Lansing for the Earth – more than 10 yogis shared their time and art with the community to help heal the earth
Free community yoga– this March I began a free community class with the help of the Shabazz Academy that generously offers its gymnasium free each week.
Free prenatal yoga – the Ingham County Health Department contacted me about the free community yoga and I’ve since put them in touch with my friend Janet McFarlane, an excellent prenatal yoga teacher.
End child slavery Nepal – I met Jesse Bach, the founder of the Nepal Orphans Home and Yoga for Freedom at the Midwest Yoga Conference. I’m coordinating a yoga benefit for this fall. So stay tuned!
