Yoga is a journey into feeling.
Feeling and growing capacity and range and spectrum of feeling – the internal and external landscape of feeling.
Yoga frees us from a life of “feeling bypass” to one of immersion and growth and balance.
Feeling is a skill, a sense to develop, like taste and touch. Feeling is a way of knowing without thinking. Feeling is a listening skill.
Yoga helps us refine our relationship with feeling.
We create a relationship and not reactions.
We create a relationship and not judgments and shame.
We get to know our feelings in body, mind and spirit, their nuance and undulations and contours.
We choose to no longer bypass them or indulge in them. They are a part of us, integrated and not the enemy. They are a part of us, not in charge of us. They are a part of us, but do not define us.
Pain, softness, tingling, brightness, joy, grief, heaviness, numbness. The range of feeling may be endless. They are a part of our journey. They are an expression of energy.
Knowing them is knowing a deeper level of the truth of our being.
