Just B Yoga opened to in-person classes Saturday for the first time since the shutdown orders due to the Covid pandemic.
Less is more, right? With a limit of 6 people per class, it was full of abundant love, gratitude, joy, relief, release, and possibility.
We are not “returning.”
I know I’m not.
I am beginning each day anew in practice and devotion to purpose. That’s in my body, speech and mind.
I don’t want to go back, to return, even to the good ole’ days.
I am here to be here, now. My duty is to be present with my fullest attention and intention with humility. There is so much wonder and miracle in this journey. Yes, there is disappointment, sorrow, fear, pain. We get to experience it all and be a part of it all in these trips around the sun.
I’m honored to be spinning around in this cosmic confusion with you all. Each beautiful, sassy, silly, brilliant, intelligent, creative, generous, nerdy, queer, unique one of you.
Every stretch and twist, helping us go with the flow of life and toward our purpose.
Every resistance and limitation, teaching us surrender and acceptance (<— ouch, right there!).
Every sudden surprise of ease or balance or inversion, giving rise to our hope and faith, and our understanding that we are not in control.
Every moment of quietude, not matter how short or long, assuring us that peace IS within.
We get to express and create this peace, hope, strength and purpose our way. The point is we keep practicing, not perfecting. We keep beginning, not going back.
I begin today, being present with myself and you all as you are today.
I am grateful to begin with you.
Namaste.
