Our friend and fellow yoga student, Julie Cotton-Fire Reed, lost her home in a fire yesterday.
It’s all gone.
Apparently she smelled the smoke overnight before the alarms went off and was able to get her family and even the cats out before it all burned down.
We are relieved to know they are safe and sound. Losing every material thing can be devastating and life-changing. It also keeps us deeply connected to what really matters.
Julie joins us for practice on Friday mornings, sometimes as a gal pal date with a friend. Other times solo, finding her connection with body, mind and spirit.
She is a part of our sangha (community).
Please consider contributing to help her family as they sort through insurance and rebuilding with a Karma Ka$h donation. We will forward to the family.
