Welcome Restorative Yoga

Restorative Yoga - This class focuses on relaxing the body in restful postures - it helps calm the nervous system and give your body an opportunity to renew and heal itself! New class starts Oct. 11 at 10 a.m. in Lansing at Just B Yoga, 106 Island Ave.

Today my friend Lauren will begin teaching a Restorative Yoga class at Just B’s new studio space in REO Town.

I hope you will check out her class and spread the word. Here’s a little about the class and Lauren in her own words:

“Yoga found me in 2006 after moving to Charleston, South Carolina- after my first class I was hooked. In 2008 I completed my first teacher training, and earned my 200 hour RYT in Vinyasa Flow. The following year I studied at Kripalu, and completed Joseph LePage’s Integrated Yoga Therapy 500 hour E-RYT program. I have a passion for fun, spirited classes that emphasize alignment and flow, and feel deeply inspired when I can provide more therapeutic classes for my students. Over the years my practice has developed into a mental, physical, and spiritual release; I believe that everybody can truly benefit from the power of yoga this way! In group classes my goal is for every student to learn something new about themselves every time they come to the mat. Privately, I love to aid clients with specific issues and help bring them back to balance. Can’t wait to see you around Just B Yoga!

Restorative Yoga – This class focuses on relaxing the body in restful postures – it helps calm the nervous system and give your body an opportunity to renew and heal itself! Restorative yoga is beneficial for anyone wanting to stimulate the immune, endocrine, or nervous system to help bring you back to balance in a gentle and satisfying way.  Appropriate for all levels, as long as you can get up and down from the floor.”
