Now more than ever, standards of excellence for news gathering must be upheld. That means not just “good enough.” You can’t send your reporting out on the social media-digital express train if it’s crap – full of holes, misquotes, inaccurate, imbalanced … crap.

A good look at myself on the brink of 42

It would be nice if I could put in requests for where a new gray hair or wrinkle is being placed. Or if I could set up a reminder note like in my Outlook calendar when a pain from 25 years ago was going to come to visit – say 3 days in advance? Hell, I’d take a 1 hour notice.

On the link to Story of Stuff I say the movie is the reason I got rid of my car and that I now live in a box. OK, I don’t live in box, I live in an 868 sq. foot loft in Old Town, downsized from a four-bedroom house. And I did donate my Isuzu Trooper to the VOA after downsizing from three vehicles to one. Now Annie Leonard, the face behind the movie has friended me on Facebook! What to ask her?
